Investec SmartRate Notice Deposit*
Design your own notice deposit rate by defining the notice period, the level of access you require and the deposit amount. The interest rate paid will depend on your selections.
For example, you could choose to deposit R100,000 for 45 days with 60% access. This means you can only withdraw R60,000 before the 45 days are up.
- Notice periods = 15, 32, 45, 60, 75 or 90 days*
- Percentage access = 0% to 90% in 10% increments*
- R50,000 minimum deposit applies
The Investec SmartRate Notice Deposit account incurs no monthly fees, and allows you to enhance your returns by making subsequent additional deposits. It’s flexible, pays competitive interest rates and if you need any help you can call our dedicated Client Service Centre. An opportunities team is also on standby to help you identify ways to enhance your portfolio.
You can choose to have your monthly interest compounded or paid away.

Investec Top5: 90-day notice account
Markets fluctuate. It’s time consuming and difficult to continuously move funds in response to sentiment. We make it easier for you by researching the market on a daily basis**, to ensure you earn the highest average rate of the top five qualifying South African money market funds.
This account requires a minimum balance of R50,000.
Private Select Fund: 40-day notice account
This account gives you exposure to the performance of the top four qualifying South African money market funds. The rate of interest offered by all four funds is averaged and applied to your account daily (in arrears).**
You can also withdraw 10% of the total available balance whenever you want (subject to a 40-day rolling facility). Because you never know when you might need access to your funds.
The minimum balance requirement is R1,000,000.
**The qualifying criteria for the funds, from which the pricing of the Private Select Fund and Investec Top5 is derived, are as follows: A fund size of R1 billion or more and less than 25% invested in corporate debt.
