Note on third party payment authorisation forms:

The account holder of the Rand account we are debiting must complete this form even if the Rand account we are debiting is not held in the same name as the person purchasing foreign exchange.

Order cash and traveller’s cheques

Repurchase cash and traveller’s cheques

• Travel re-purchase form for cash
• Third party payment authorisation (see note above)

Gift – telegraphic transfer

• Balance of Payments – application to purchase
• Declaration – single discretionary allowance
• Travel Order form – telegraphic transfers
• Third party payment authorisation (see note above)

Investment allowance (Note: All the documents below need to be presented to Investec Private Bank in original form before your transaction can be processed)

• Balance of Payments – application to purchase
• SARB Exchange Control MP 1423
• Tax clearance application FIA 001
• Third party payment authorisation (see note above)
• Travel Order form – telegraphic transfers

Invoice payments – telegraphic transfer (Note: Investec Private Bank Financial Surveillance might request additional supporting documents prior to the transaction being authorised)

Omnibus deals

• Retail Foreign Exchange Omnibus application

Subsistence allowance (Note: Investec Private Bank Financial Surveillance might request additional supporting documents prior to the transaction being authorised)

• Balance of Payments – application to purchase
• Travel Order form – telegraphic transfers
• Third party payment authorisation (see note above)

You will also be required to provide the following information / documentation:

• A letter from the academic institution confirming acceptance of your enrolment at the institution on a full time basis
• A letter or prospectus with the schedule of tuition fees and other incidental charges during the academic year
• A marriage certificate if you are accompanied by a spouse

Travel – telegraphic transfers (Note: Please remember to provide a copy of your passport and air ticket when submitting these documents.  Without them, your transaction cannot be processed)
